Do you charge a tuition?
No. As a California public school, Yosemite Wawona Elementary Charter School is a tuition-free school!
Do I have to live in Yosemite for my child to attend the school?
No. Public charter schools can serve students who reside in any bordering county. Yosemite-Wawona Elementary Charter School is located in Mariposa County, but operates under the authorization of the Madera County Board of Education and Bass Lake Joint Union Elementary School District. We serve students from all neighboring counties.
Does the school provide transportation services?
No. Y-WECS will not be offering any transportation services.
Does my child have to attend classes at the school campus five days per week?
No. Y-WECS offers a program to help meet the needs of students and families. The Flex Friday Independent Study Program is an independent study option offered for our minimum days on Fridays.
